This piece, entitled “Messenger” is a hand pieced collage quilt. It is made from 100% cotton fabric. Each piece of fabric is individually cut into various strips ranging from 1/8th inch to 1 inch then grouped according to color and scale to create the illusion of a painting. Once the design was finished, it was quilted using a circular over-all pattern. The piece measures 30 x 50.
The quilt is my inspiration and daily reminder to find peace in the wonder of life and hope at the beginning of each day.
