I am a musician and I do my service work in leadership capacities with the organization celebrate recovery in Louisville Kentucky. I play in three bands right now two of them recovery-oriented. I’m of the strong beliefs that when you go through what we the recovery community go through we get the truth squeezed out of us. It’s extremely painful but it also allows us to paint picture that we were never capable of painting before. Since my recovery my writing has Excelled to a new level I have not seen before. It’s like my higher power gives me these songs and then tells me “go help somebody”. Lol
